I love the paper doll fabric that has been in the shop by Windham Studios. Norma, an avid quilter, created this darling child's quilt. And lest you wonder where her clothes are, those can be stored in a pocket stitched on the back or kept in a small totebag.

Paper Piecing Class

Paper piecing can be a tricky quilting skill and leave a quilter stumped when trying their first paper piecing project. Patty will be teaching a paper piecing class on Thursday, February 4, at 5:30 p.m. The cost for the class is $25. Supplies needed are 1/4 yd. dark blue or marbles for the snowflake, 1/4-1/2 yd blue contrast for the border. With Patty's guidance, students should be able to continue paper piecing more snowflakes at home. Call the store to register, (740)654-4853.

Christmas at Farmer's Country Store

I know Christmas is over and it's between the holidays. If you were unable to make it into the shop, here are a couple of pictures of the shop during Christmas.

American Vintage fabric

We just added new fabric to the website, "American Vintage". It's reminiscent of the 1950's era. I can see it as a great teacher quilt, a young child's quilt, or for those remembering when.

Winter Fun Nite

We have just completed the sample for the Fun Nite Class on November 19. Make it a girl's night out and enjoy making the "Night Before Christmas" display. The cost is $25. This includes the kit. "I Believe" Christmas Kit

We have the "I Believe" Christmas Kit available. There are 10 kits at $8.50 each and an optional sashing/border/binding kit. The girls have been busy trying to keep up with the kits.

Fall Fun Nite

Fall Fun Nite -- September 24, 6:30 pm - Join us for a fun evening of making this door hanger. All pre-sewing is completed prior to class. Just stuff and assemble. We will also have a door prize, refreshments, fun and maybe some "cheap" entertainment. The cost for the class is $25. This includes the kit.
